Ender's Game was recommended to my by one of my Dr. friends. I am not all that keen on sci-fi but the plot sounded jedi like. The planet earth is attacked by some alien race, the people of earth decide to take the fight to the aliens rather than wait for their demise... thing is that it takes 50 plus years to get to where the aliens live. The earth starts a grueling process of hand picking the brightest kids for trip to the alien solar system. durring the 50 years one kid is chosen, Ender, and is raised into a general in hopes that he will be ready to lead the armies into battle by the time they get there. Wes would like this book... it was fun.

Lowboy is written by John Wray who is a young author I been digging. Lowboy is the story about Will Heller, a 16 year old paranoid schizophernic that thinks the world is going to end due to gloabl warming unless he gets it on with a certin female. He also has to accomplish this task in the while underground in the subways of new york... here you have a perfect little odyssey.

Another Walther Mosley book. I like to read these inbetween. this is my eyecandy, by pulp fiction.

Just started reading this book. The author wrote a book I liked very much called "slap boxing with jesus" this one is well crafted. Rickey Rice is a middle aged hustler with a bum knee and an old junk habit. He is also the sole survivor of a suicide cult. One day he is summonded to some remote vermont place and reminded of a the vow he once took. He is then inducted into a band of paranormal investigators comprised of ex-addicts, criminals and other rift raft. I will leave it at that... Mos Def in an interview said he loved the book.
